Chelsea beat Fulham to move up to eighth in Premier League

Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja score in 82 seconds as Blues ease to victory

Graham Potter's side secure first win in three matches to climb up the table

Chelsea moved up to eighth in the Premier League table with a comfortable 2-0 win over London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Thursday night. Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja scored in the space of 82 seconds early in the first half to put the Blues in control, and they never looked back from there.

The win was Chelsea's first in three matches in all competitions and lifted them above Fulham into eighth place in the table. It was also a much-needed boost for manager Graham Potter, who has come under pressure in recent weeks after a poor run of form.

Chelsea took the lead in the 15th minute when Mudryk cut inside from the left flank and fired a low shot into the bottom corner. Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno got a hand to the ball, but he could not keep it out.

The Blues doubled their lead just over a minute later when Broja latched onto a long ball from Enzo Fernandez and lifted it over the onrushing Leno. It was a clinical finish from the young striker, who has now scored three goals in his last four appearances for Chelsea.

Fulham never really threatened to get back into the game, and Chelsea cruised to a comfortable victory. The Blues had several chances to add to their lead, but they were wasteful in front of goal.

The win will give Chelsea confidence ahead of their next match, which is a home game against West Ham United on Sunday. Potter will be hoping that his team can build on this victory and put together a run of good form.
