Luka Magic Leads Mavericks to Game 2 Win

Dallas Mavericks Take Control of Western Conference Finals

Doncic's Late-Game Heroics Seal Victory

The Dallas Mavericks had another prayer shot besides Luka Doncic to key their Game 2 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals. With just seconds remaining on the clock and the Timberwolves trailing by one point, Anthony Edwards launched a desperation three-pointer that hit the rim and bounced off. Dwight Powell grabbed the rebound and was fouled, sending him to the free throw line. Powell calmly sank both free throws to give the Mavericks a 119-118 victory and a 2-0 lead in the series.

Doncic, who finished with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists, was once again the driving force behind the Mavericks' success. He hit a clutch three-pointer with just over a minute remaining to give the Mavericks a two-point lead, and then came up with a key steal on the Timberwolves' ensuing possession. Powell's free throws sealed the deal, but it was Doncic who set the stage for the Mavericks' victory.

The Mavericks will now look to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series when they host the Timberwolves in Game 3 on Saturday night. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, will be looking to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole and will need to find a way to slow down Doncic and the Mavericks' high-powered offense.
